Is it possible to hair weeve an Afro onto your hair instead of straight hair?

I hate my straight hair. As you can see from my avatar, I want to express myself with a huge f*cking Afro. Do beauty technicians know how to do an Afro as extensions instead of straight hair? Is that possible?

Yes, this would indeed be possible if you go to the right hair dresser. Just make sure that you explain to them what you want very clearly, and bring in a picture of what you have in mind so that they can visualize the task they are about to embark upon. I think this will be a great look and I really hope that you can make it work. Good luck!

ummmmm.....I am sure anything's possible, but why????

The short answer to your question is absolutely. The trick is in finding a stylist who is experienced in braiding or doing extensions. Taking in a picture is always a good idea. A lot of the models in hair magazines have extensions and you wouldn't know it - even the afro styles. Word of mouth is always the best way to find someone good. If you see someone when you're out and you like their style, approach them and ask who did it. People are usually flattered when someone does come up to them and ask who does their hair. It makes them feel good about how they look and stylists are usually more than happy to get referals from their clients.

It is possible, all they have to do is leave the front hairline out just enough to cover the sewn in tracks, the rest of your hair should be braided down neat and when the afro type hair is sewn in you would take the front hair line that was left out and brush it right over the afro hair. Your hair should take on the curly style that is sewn in. It is actually a cute style.
